We offer nursery care for children under 4 years of age.

The Thursday Bible study is located in the library of the Tabor (education) Building. Enter on 39th St near the half-circle driveway. The study begins at 6:30 am. (Don't worry -- there's coffee!)

The Thursday afternoon Bible study meets at the Tabor (education) building at 1:00pm.

There is handicapped access on the Charles Street side of the building by entering the Stieff Room. First English is a Reconciling in Christ congregation and is open to a diversity.

The Rev. Sandra Carlson Alexis

Pastor Sandra Carlson Alexis began her ministry at First English on April 18, 2016 after serving a number of congregations in the Baltimore area as well as Hagerstown and northeast Pennsylvania.  One of her favorite Scripture verses is from 2 Corinthians 4 which refers to the Good News of Jesus Christ being entrusted to mere humans:  "We have this treasure in clay jars, so that it may be made clear that this extraordinary power belongs to God and does not come from us."  Those clay jars come in all sizes and shapes so Pastor Sandy has a special concern for inclusion of the diversity of God's people -- especially for those with special needs.  Pastor Sandy has served as a pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America for 25 years and feels blessed by the commitment and faith of those she has served with throughout that time.  She prays for the faithful to continue to reflect the light of God's glory in their daily lives.
