Care Circle for Parents of Young Children

The Care Circle for Parents of Young Children includes all of the aspects of a Care Circle described above. In addition, the Parents' Care Circle focuses on the joys and challenges of being a parent and raising children in the Christian faith. The Parents' Care Circle includes couples and single parents who have preschool-aged children and infants.

During the Share part of the Care Circle gathering, participants share joys and concerns about parenting, family life, faith, and life in general.

The Learning time of the Parents' Care Circle emphasizes Bible passages and ideas that address how parents can nurture their children's faith and be faith mentors in their own homes. During the Learning time the group also explores ideas for caring conversations, rituals, traditions, service opportunities, and other resources for families to do together in order to grow in their Christian faith.

The Parents' Care Circle also Prays together as they seek God's guidance in bringing up their children as disciples of Jesus Christ. Members also pray to seek wisdom and insight into being parents with all the joys and challenges that come with raising children.

The Parents' Care Circle meets on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month in the Library. The Care Circle meets during our Sunday morning education hour, 9:30-10:30 a.m. Children aged 2 and up are welcome to join Sunday School during this time, and younger children and infants are welcome to join the adults in the Care Circle room where there are toys and resources especially for them. Bible Text for Parents' Care Circle:

The LORD is our God, the LORD alone. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise... Deuteronomy 6:4-7
But as for you, continue in what you have learned and firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it, and how from childhood you have known the sacred writings that are able to instruct you for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 3:14-15
