A Care Circle is a small group of people who gather together to enjoy Christian friendship and grow in faith. What do people taking part in a Care Circle do together? They Share, Learn, and Pray.
Goals of a Care Circle:
- Develop trusted relationships
- Encourage growth in faith
- Grow closer to God and to each other
- Foster meaningful friendship
- Provide mutual care and support
- Celebrate life stages
- Ease life transitions
- Read and discuss the Bible, pray, laugh, talk, and eat together!
Care Circles are led by laypeople who facilitate the group. The facilitators meet regularly with a pastor to discuss the Circle's ideas and concerns. The facilitators and pastors also work together to plan the Care Circle's topics so that sharing, learning, and praying will help people grow closer to God and to each other.
Bible Passages for Care Circles:
May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 15:5
Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another‹and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:25
