The Children's Sermon is one of the most special components of First English's liturgy. At every service the congregation's children are invited to the front of the Church to receive a distinct but universally inspirational message. Pastor Burggraf regularly chooses an animal puppet from his impressive menagerie to help communicate the Lord's message. Each puppets' name and distinct personality are very well known to parishioners who soon consider them just another member of the congregation.
Whether through story or song, or more often than not, both, the
Children's Sermon delivers an understanding of God's love and Christian
behavior that can be understood and appreciated by children of all ages in
the congregation.
